Dance Academy South West (DASW) is no longer offering a full-time Professional Dance Course with Teacher Training and Musical Theatre options from 9 - 5 p.m. daily. However if you want to obtain a rounded training as a dancer and teacher it is still possible through our evening classes, part-time day course, Sunday Intensives, workshops/masterclasses, and holiday courses.
We are now specialising in offering the ISTD DDE Teacher Training Qualification through part-time training. So if you have a passion to teach dance and inspire others by passing on your knowledge and you have a love of the work of the ISTD, then this may be the course for you.
The training is suitable for school/college leavers who have reached intermediate examination level in dance, university graduates wishing to teach the ISTD syllabus work, professional dancers between jobs, ex-professional dancers looking at a teaching career, and teachers of dance who currently do not hold the ISTD qualification but would like to do so.
Dance Station has 3 studios, the largest of which converts into a Studio Theatre for performances, a lecture (or private music/drama) room, changing rooms, shower and rest areas, and a well-stocked dancewear shop 'Kathy's Dancewear' that caters for all your needs.
Obtaining this Level 4 qualification could lead to:

Teaching within dance schools worldwide as ISTD work is taught in many countries

Further dance teacher training at higher levels with the ISTD
Students will benefit from experienced, approved teaching staff and istd lecturers at courses, alongside many guest teachers which will help expand their knowledge across a variety of dance genres.
